Well. I like Gertrude. And I like drawing humans. So this seemed pretty obvious. *wonders how many fanfolk will ignore this because Jojo is not involved in any way, and because Gertrude is a giiirrl oc and therefor a Mary Sue* This one was tons o' fun to draw! I can't help it, I love little Gertie. I think I just thought "I want to draw a cute girl with power tools" one lazy afternoon, and this happened. (How else do you think she builds her creepy garden? Mulch and a couple of loose bolts?) Also an experiment in thinner lineart/new coloring methods, which went smashingly well (I assume)! Also *also* an experiment in translating a nonhuman character into human terms. Gertrude's human design based partially off Eudorra's lovely version of her in this fabulous trade-pic. I am listening to "Skullcrusher Mountain" by the brilliant Jonathon Coulton! This is not relevant, I just really like this song. Blah blah blah I say too much in comments.
