So. Fanart? No, for real. My first Avatar fanart ever, and it's shippy. Oi. Maiko, for a trade with DS-Hina.  I hope you like it! I... know it's supposed to be just a sketch trade, but I got carried away. You don't have to do the same, I just wanted to put some color in and then ended up going nuts with patterns.So, anyway, yes. I officially ship MaixZuko, even though for the most part I find shipping unnecessary for a show like Avatar. Rather, I don't think my enjoyment of the show depends on me pairing off each character, but I do have my pet pairings, etc. I just. D: I just want Zuko to stop being a tool and be happy. With as little angst as possible. When Mai basically said "Cheer up, emo kid" to him, that sealed the deal for me. (By the way, when starting this piece I figured that fall in the Fire Nation would at least be marginally chillier than they're used to, so that's where the blanket came in. Then at some point I starting thinking it was summer, and so now there's a popsicle, and everything's just confusing. So um. Now it's a special Fire Nation popsicle, where instead of being frosty and icy, it's actually spicy. Like those firecracker jawbreakers. Some kind of spicy pop or candy. ...If they can have turtleducks, then they can have spicy popsicles.) Anyway~ -Demo |
